University Guidance

We place a great deal of importance on student guidance, whether it is during their school years or by mapping out their higher education plans or future career.

How university guidance helps

Our university guidance department is made up of five guidance counsellors, each with a specific geographic area of expertise, and one administrative and communications assistant.

The university guidance department aims to ensure students are fully aware of the demands of higher education, and corresponding career prospects, and to enable each student to develop and implement their own personalised plan.

Working alongside both teaching staff and parents, guidance counsellors help each student develop their higher education plan, aiming to:

  • get students to play an active role in their future development by reflecting on further learning opportunities
  • enable students to take stock of their skills, motivations, personal attributes and ambitions
  • support students as they research and gather the information needed to make decisions about their higher education prospects.
  • guide students as much as possible with university admission procedures

In addition, the university guidance team:

  • maintains ongoing relationships with international universities to promote the school around the world
  • promotes and organises numerous events throughout the school year, such as presentations, conferences, education fairs, to help students make their plans for post-secondary studies
  • promotes the AGORA Monde platform, a global social platform that aims to connect current and former students from French secondary schools around the world to discuss degree options and university life
