This month, Year 7 students have started a cycle of 5 Mindfulness sessions during their PSHE lessons with the support of trained members of staff.
The objective for the students is to improve their well-being and enable them to practice mindfulness whenever they feel the need by themselves.
Mindfulness brings:
- An awareness of body, thought, and emotion.
- The development and enhancement of the qualities of kindness, patience, compassion and empathy.
- The ability to be more focused and pay more attention in class.
- A method of understanding and dealing with stress and anxiety.
