BASKETBALL : FIS has got talent!
The first season of the HKJBL basketball league has just come to an end, and our high school can be proud of its young players who represented our school colors with brio.
Three teams competed in the final of their respective divisions, and one team was vying for the bronze medal.
In Division 3, the U14s played an intense mano à mano in the final against the HKIS Hawks. They battled all the way to the end for victory. Unfortunately, they came up a little short against a very good team and had to settle for silver. Still, a fine performance. Well done to Benjamin, Nolan, Ulysse, Ruben, Markus, Rex, André, Jules, Norris, Jayden, Théophile and Oscar.
The Division 2 U14 boys narrowly missed out on the bronze medal against HKIS. They got off to a poor start, but found the resources to come back in the second half. The defeat was cruel (2 points), but the promise of an excellent second season is there. Congratulations to Felipe, Louis, Victor, Dylan, Alex, Jordan, Félix, Howard, Joshua and Yon.
As for the mixed U12s, their final was a reflection of their season: unstoppable! They got off to a shaky start against the Top Filght team, but once they got going, they were unstoppable. Victory and gold medal for them! Well done to Clara, Jules, Lucian, Lucien, Berlin, Liam, Dylan, Thegonnec, Yamato, Eliott and Michael.
Finally, in the final of their division, the U14 girls gave their ISF opponents no chance. They pulled off the perfect match and won a well-deserved gold medal! Well done to Maria, Lucia, Rhéa, Isée, Naomi, Julie, Margot, Joséphine, Aurélia and Zoé.
Many thanks also to Coach Aleks and Coach Bertram for their unfailing dedication.
