Meeting and Creative Workshop with Laurent Pinabel

As part of the “Incorruptibles Prize,” on Monday, 15th April, and Tuesday, 16th April, all the Year 6 students from TKO and JL had the opportunity to meet author-illustrator Laurent Pinabel.

The program included a creative workshop involving a black and white frieze, combining various collage and drawing techniques, inspired by the author’s book “Le Guerrier Massaï” (The Maasai Warrior). Laurent Pinabel, with a smile on his face and full of energy, made himself available to all our students, guiding them in their creations and providing them with insightful advice, which the children truly appreciated.

These compositions will be added to those already created by all the schools in the Asian region that participated in this wonderful unifying project, bringing together Jakarta, Shanghai, Hanoi, Singapore, Seoul, and Hong Kong. They will subsequently be featured in an e-book.

The curious students also had the opportunity to engage in discussions about the artist’s journey. It was a wonderful encounter that left the students feeling enriched!
