April 2024 was a month of geopolitical and journalistic encounters for TKO and BPR middle and high school students in the French and international sections. Indeed, from April 15 to 18, many of them had the opportunity to hear and question Mr. Frank Tétart, geopolitician, teacher and author of Dessous des Cartes and numerous atlases, on the many stakes and places of conflicts and tensions in the world.

On Wednesday April 17, in the TKO auditorium, everyone was also able to take part in and exchange views with Mr. Frank Tétart and Mr. Philippe Schwab, journalist and editor-in-chief of AFP in Hong Kong, on the American elections, the Russia-Ukraine war, and the confrontations in the Middle East….

On April 26, to round off the cycle that began with meetings with Mr. Fabien Roussel and Mr. Dominique de Villepin, the 2ndes A – B and 1ères taking the HGGSP specialization had the chance to chat with Ms. Camille Chaize, spokeswoman for the French Ministry of the Interior. Introduced to their classmates by Calie and Laetitia from 1ere HGGSP, Camille Chaize then took questions with great enthusiasm and sincerity, on the organization of the Olympic Games, security in France, the situation in Mayotte, the fight against youth violence and feminicide, as well as migration, the conditions for expulsion from France and the loss of French nationality. In response to a final question on the qualities required to become a competent spokesperson, Ms. Chaize concluded with great conviction by saying that they should “believe in all their dreams and go for it”.
