Marie T. (class of 2023) graduated with the French Baccalauréat with the highest distinction and is about to start a medical degree at the University of Edinburgh.

“I advise you to start working from the very beginning of the year and to trust yourself. Even though one subject might seem daunting, with enough work and perseverance, you can get a high score. I believe working consistently throughout the year helped me when preparing for the final exams since I already knew most of the concepts and methodology.”

Recently graduated from the IB, Xavier is about to study medicine in either Hong Kong or the United Kingdom and would like to give the following piece of advice to the next IB cohort:

“Do not relax at the start of the second year! Most of my struggles came from having to catch up on content from the beginning of the second year. The IB is a rigorous course that teaches students how to manage many projects at once. This pressure has made me enthusiastic about finding efficient ways to manage my time”. Time management will be a key skill and the pursuit of your studies! Keep up the great work!”
