IMYC Workshop success at BPR
We had a record number of sign ups for the first in our series of 10 Workshops planned across the 2023-24 Academic Year, with 43 parents from a range of different year groups showing an interest in the inaugural one informing how the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) uses the latest neuro-scientific research to help plan a programme that suits many of the aspects now known about the adolescent brain. Ms Helen Marshall (Vice Principal in charge of our Year 7 – 9) and Ms Hannah Wright, our IMYC coordinator, spent half an hour describing the aims, outline and features of the IMYC that make it different from other Middle Years programmes. The last half hour was taken up with a deeper dive, with parents asking questions about various aspects of what they had learned.
They have kindly made the presentation available for all to see, and so please go to this link to learn more for yourself. There is also time for you to register for the second of our workshops, “A day in the life of an IB student“, which will be run by Mrs Hall on the BPR site at 10 am on Wednesday 14th December from 10 – 11 am.
