Inter CVL Meeting
On Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th of March, the InterCVL meeting of French high schools in the Asia-Pacific region was held in Bangkok. Twelve Asian high schools participated in this event, namely the schools from Sydney, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Vientiane, Manila, Hanoi, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.
The objective of this meeting revolved around two points: The first was to select a charitable organization with which the institutions in the AP region will collaborate next year. To do this, the delegations (CPE + student) were presented with several options. The chosen organization is called “Enfants d’Asie” (Children of Asia). This association assists in the education of children in Asia, as well as the establishment of facilities that accommodate them (boarding, dining, etc.). The association proposed that we work on the Mondulkiri project, a school in Cambodia.
Part of the money collected through support actions implemented by the institutions will be used, among other things, to help finance and modernize a new kitchen within this school. This joint project will enable students to be positive agents of change while developing their spirit of initiative and entrepreneurship.
The second point was the creation of a video aimed at raising awareness and encouraging students to become more involved in their respective institutions. The video will be presented to all students at the beginning of next year.
These two days of work took place in a very pleasant atmosphere and allowed for the creation of strong bonds for the future.
