End-of-year celebrations in vibrant colours for our Spanish-language students
As the school year draws to a close, the Spanish-language students at our institution have particularly shone this past month, concluding their year on a festive and cultural note.
In Terminale, the students had the opportunity to celebrate the end of their secondary education by breaking the traditional piñata, an emblematic activity of Hispanic culture. This piñata allowed our future A-level graduates to immerse themselves further in the traditions of Latin America, while sharing a moment of conviviality with their classmates.
But that’s not all! The 5e and 4e students were also rewarded for their performance in the annual “El Campeonato” competition, honouring the Spanish language and culture. Their enthusiasm and commitment throughout the year have paid off, and we warmly congratulate them for their brilliant performances. Among the winners, we can mention, in Year 9: Carlota, Sidonie, Andrew, Quentin, Tomás and in Year 10: Alexandre, Leo, Nathalie. For Year 11: Léo, Charline and Léane and in Year 12: Anaé, Aurelia and Victoire. They have particularly distinguished themselves and received special prizes.
In parallel, the 2nde and 1ère students also had the opportunity to take the DELE (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language) certification at levels ranging from A2 to C1. For a day, they were evaluated on their oral and written communication skills. Now they must wait patiently for the receipt of their results, expected in late July or early August.
Finally, in 1ère, it was Léopold and Elouan who won the photojournalism competition organised following the visit, as part of our programme, to the World Press Photo exhibition. Taking into account the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the students presented a photograph highlighting one of these goals.
Such initiatives not only help to highlight the excellence of our students, but also to nurture their enthusiasm for Hispanic studies. A wonderful way to end the school year on a positive and inspiring note!
Congratulations to all our Spanish-language students for their remarkable work and commitment!
