Le Lycée Français International (LFI) de Hong Kong a été fondé en 1963. Il offre deux filières distinctes de la Petite Section / Nursery à la Terminale / Y13. La Filière Française, homologuée par l’AEFE, prépare les élèves à l’obtention du Baccalauréat français. La Filière Internationale suit le International Primary Curriculum (IPC) et le English National Curriculum qui incluent les diplômes de l’IGCSE et l’IB Diploma Programme. En 1988, le LFI est devenu la première école internationale autorisée à délivrer le programme IB à Hong Kong.

Aujourd’hui le LFI est une des plus grandes écoles internationales de Hong Kong et accueille plus de 2,700 élèves, 60% en filière française et 40% en filière internationale, rassemblant plus de 40 nationalités différentes.

Teacher of Economics & Social Studies, International Stream Job Outline

Contract Term: 2 years full-time contract from August 2025

Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a teacher of Economics with an ability to teach year 7 to 9 Social Studies at FISHK.  We are seeking inspirational and energetic people to teach in the secondary school. The successful candidates will have a proven track record of academic success, innovation and development throughout their careers. 

 

Responsabilités

This is an opportunity for candidates to help the Leader of Learning for Humanities to shape the future of the faculty and help lead the ambitious vision and mission of the school.   At IGCSE Economics is a very popular option , and remains so at IB Diploma where it is offered at both HL and SL.  Levels of success are high across both IGCSE and IBDP. Social Studies is part of the IMYC for students through the school from years 7 to 9.

We are seeking a teacher who will:

  •       Have a deep knowledge and teaching experience of international curriculum including IGCSE, IBDP. 
  •       Be well qualified with an internationally accepted degree and teaching qualification
  •       Be a dynamic, forward-looking professional with the experience and skills to contribute to the faculty inc, an interest in leading offsite activities
  •       Be an outstanding teacher who is passionate about learning and teaching and sets high expectations for every student to achieve their full potential
  •       Be able to work collaboratively with a team of teachers inc. curriculum planning as well as to develop a caring pastoral system
  •       Be internationally-minded and culturally sensitive
  •       Be committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement
