Winter Concert at Hung Hom
On Wednesday 14 December the Winter Concert took place in the wonderful surroundings of the Hung Hom campus. All the families joined together to enjoy the festive ambiance and listen to our young artists. This is the third years of this event which was much anticipated by everybody.
The students were very comfortable and performed an eclectic programme from children’s songs to a variety of classics via a selection of Christmas tunes. These were delivered for the adults in French, English and Mandarin.
After an hour long concert, teachers, parents and students met to enjoy a delicious buffet. Thanks to the rave reviews of everybody present, this initiative which is part of the culture of this campus for teachers and students is expected to continue.
Well done everybody!
Christmas songs performed by a Yr7 ensemble at BPR
Starting their 1st series of Lunchtime Concerts 2016/17
Ms Wang and the Year 7 students gave two short recorder recitals at our very own Blue Pool canteen on the 13th December 2016.
They were well received by the many students, Vie Scolaire and Sodexo staff who applauded and cheered! The music brought some Christmas spirit and the holiday mood was in the air!
The group performed 3 songs “Good King Wenceslas”, “Ode to Joy” and “Jingle Bells” featuring Alison on djembe, Bryant on violin, Ms Wang on bass and a student on triangle, bells and tambourine!
CM1 Christmas songs on the beaches of Hong Kong
While the students in CM1 bilingual class were singing their Christmas songs on South Bay Beach, CM1 A&B students joined together to sing in French, English and Mandarin on St Stephen’s Beach on Saturday 10 December. Afterwards there was a picnic arranged by parents and the students exchanged Christmas gifts. Watch the video here
Thanks to all the teachers for organising these wonderful initiatives, to the students for their awesome performances and to all the parents for their ongoing support.
