From 19 to 21 May, 9 students from Computer Science (Informatique et Création Numérique) and the FIS Digital Workshop took part in Coding Night, an event organised for the second year by the French School in Taipei under the aegis of Alexis Kauffman, TES mathematics teacher.
From 6pm to midnight on Saturday, students from Beijing, Tokyo, Taipei and Hong Kong competed in resourcefulness, knowledge and perseverance to develop a video game with Scratch software. Assessed on criteria such as playability, originality, code complexity and teamwork the budding coders were ranked by teachers, programmers and their peers.
Congratulations to Léa and Gaspard who took second prize for 1ère and Terminale, as well as their peers who flew the flag for FIS during this unique event in the Asia-Pacific region.
