The work is done on rice paper, very delicate and used for Chinese painting, and coupled with appropriate colours. The students first painted the vase and branches with Chinese ink using a calligraphy brush. They then wrote the word “Spring” in Chinese characters before applying the colours adorning the vase and painting the flowers in the Chinese style.

The project shows FIS’s open and harmonious approach to our cultural surroundings.
