As part of the Wellness Programme, FIS’ Events Committee is pleased to organize the screening of a movie written by Indonesian domestic workers in Hong Kong, that will take place on

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Catherine Gurtin, CEO of Pathfinders, Alberto Gerosa and moderated par Ben Lu. Both the movie and panel discussion will be in English.
Synopsis:
The coming-of-age story of a girl from Indonesia, supporting her family and her younger sister’s education by working as a domestic worker in Hong Kong. She will face many difficulties as a migrant women worker in a country she doesn’t know and will form unlikely friendships along the way just as she tries to realise her dream to become a singer.

An ethnofiction on migrant women domestic workers, the movie has been written by Indonesian women domestic workers in Hong Kong and is based on all their real life stories. They also play parts in the movie.
