Learning Beyond the Walls 2017

During the last week of term, approximately 190 secondary students took part in the second CAS Week for the International Stream – 190 different experiences and 190 unique stories that will stay with each student for a long time. Some travelled to places they never thought they could go to (and not just physically!); some overcame fears and phobias; some connected with local and far-away communities; others acquired incredible new skills; many have made new friends and plenty have had lots of fun with students from various year groups.

From 23 – 29 June for the 2017 CAS week, students from Years 7 – 10 went to Lijiang in Yunnan province to trek in the spectacular Tiger Leaping Gorge area.  It was an eye opening experience for all of us.  Throughout the trip students learned to appreciate nature while facing many physical challenges with open minds.

All displayed great team spirit and enthusiasm during this fantastic trip – we trust they will hold these summer 2017 memories close to their hearts.
