At the end of March, students in 2ndes B, C and E were visited by Olivier Gazeau, Head of Students Services at BPR, who began his working life as a Senior Technician in Medical Imaging and Radiology before concentrating on education. 

His visit was for the module “Health: periodic signals and waves for medicine“, part of the Physics and Chemistry course. While talking about jobs linked to radiology, Mr Gazeau described the technical aspects of radiography from taking a conventional x-ray, a scan, a CT scan to an MRI and an echogram.  He gave examples of interpreting the images obtained which allowed the students to write up their findings and experiments (audiometry, electrocardiography, using ultrasound signals to conduct ultrasounds, fiberoptics…) conducted in class with Mrs Heuzard.
