Born on 13 May 1959, Mr Lebaindre began his career in music teaching on 1 October 1981 as a support teacher in Normandy. After passing his CAPES in 1983, he remained there until 1986 when he decided to move to the “Fragrant Harbour” with his wife who came from Hong Kong. He joined FIS on 1 September 1986 and in 1995 he passed with flying colours the highest secondary teaching qualification in Musical Education and Choral Singing.
In addition to his talent as a teacher, Mr Lebaindre led different FIS orchestras and choirs for over 30 years. He was unflagging in his commitment to internal school events as well as building relationships and organising joint concerts with other international schools (GSIS for example) thus contributing to the cultural development of FIS.
On behalf of the entire FIS community, we would like to express our deepest sympathies to his wife, Mélinda, and his two children, Natacha and Arjuna.
